 Day
6. Wednesday 7th July. Distance 444 miles.
Up at 8am and loaded the bike in the rain. Back to Hotel and
had a good breakfast. Made my way to the Internet Cafe and
uploaded text and pictures to Aidan. Cost about 20 Krone (£2).
Headed towards Alta on E6 and stopped now and then to take
pictures. Quite off putting as all the lorries, campers and cars
I had earlier overtaken now passed me again. I'm sure you'll
agree that some of them were well worth the stop. My GPS decided
to take me off the E6 and onto route 87. Through forests and
dead straight empty roads, just heaven. Back onto the E6 at
Overgard. More good roads skirting fjords with light traffic.
Stopped for an excellent meal and fuel at Bufjord. Onto Alta but
very pricey so I kept on riding and found a good comfortable
cabin at Skaidi on the Nordkapp Hammerfest junction.
