Monday 26th July.  Alex has finally made it home after 3 weeks, 15 countries and 6060 miles. See the Diary page for full details.
Ironically it is exactly a year since John and Gerry returned from their trip.

Day 4.  Monday 5th July.  Distance 355 miles.

The rain woke me about 8am and after a good breakfast I headed for Trondheim. The traffic was quite light and I made good time.

I talked earlier about the Norwegian bikers smiling when I told them our speed limits. In Noway, you are sometimes allowed to do 90 maybe on motorways, mostly 80 then as you go north lots of 60's and sometime down to 50 and 30.

But this is Kilometers so 80 is 50MPH, do the maths. Needless to say the speeds are quite low in places but I didn't mind and stuck to them rigorously.

It kept raining on and off and I met quite a few bikers heading south. All wave with a horizontal flick of the wrist, I soon got the hang of it. I rode through Mosjoen and onto MO I Rana but had no luck with accommodation there. Riding north I found a hut for K240 (£20). Warm and dry so did my bookwork, and had a good nights sleep.
