Monday 26th July.  Alex has finally made it home after 3 weeks, 15 countries and 6060 miles. See the Diary page for full details.
Ironically it is exactly a year since John and Gerry returned from their trip.

Day 20. Wednesday 21st July. Distance 460 miles.

Up at 7am this morning because of the long day ahead.  Had a good breakfast of bread, ham, cheese, tomato, cucumber and tea.  Through the Lithuanian border at 9am with a quick check of my passport and the bikes registration papers.  Nothing at the Polish border at all so drove straight through.  The next bit of really twisty road brought a smile to my face but that was  short-lived as the roads straightened out and the traffic got heavier.  The heavy lorries had rutted the roads and made things dangerous when overtaking.  There were also lots of road-works and traffic lights.  After Warsaw the roads were really good with stretches of really fast bits.  Now and again a town would come up so you had to slow down at the town sign, sometimes to 40kph.  I was followed out of a few towns by police cars but stuck to the limits.  I arrived at Wroclaw about 6pm and found a small hotel with an alarmed garage for Big Sylvia.

Had a good nights sleep after a nice meal and walk about town.
