Day 14.
Thursday 15th July. Off to Tallinn today.
Up at 9am, good breakfast before going
downtown again to the open air market. Traders there from
the early hours of the morning. Some wonderful woollen
garments and craftwork but because of the limited space on the
bike I had to deny myself. Had a bit to eat there and
walked around the outer quays to see the icebreakers laid up for
the summer. I took some photos with my phone, not sure of
the quality though. Boarded ferry and was in Tallin and my
hotel by 5pm. About an hour and three quarters crossing for
32Euros. Very good hotel, a little out of town but near
Joeys monument. I hope to get there tomorrow. Quick
taxi journey into city railway station to book train to St
Petersburg. No train on Saturday because its not an even
number date so off to bus station. I booked a ticket for
the St Petersburg bus on Saturday morning. Wandered about
the city looking at both modern and historic buildings.
Finally, I had enough and got a taxi to the hotel. Shower,
a little TV then bed and a sound sleep.
